Simon and Garfunkel

Simon and Garfunkel
Oil on black canvas, 36x60
At Center Framing and Art, 968 Farmington Ave., West Hartford Center, CT

I've been busy, traveling to Connecticut to visit with family, paint outside Center Framing and Art, have an early Thanksgiving/Christmas party, visit with Erika and Paul and their whole family, then come back to beautiful Wachapreague and have Thanksgiving here with Peter and the devil dogs, WHEW! I took a few days off afterwards, just to get my head to stop spinning.

I hope you all had good Thanksgivings, whatever kind of Thanksgiving you had.

HERE'S A QUESTION for you:

Many people have told me they pretty much never read what I write here. They just look at the painting, scroll down to the Dog of the Day, and go on. If you'd prefer pretty much just the painting, the DOD and maybe the quote, and only the rare bout of verbiage, that's fine with me - but let me know, would you? Please use the comments below to voice your opinion. And you will not hurt my feelings, I promise!

I always read the whole thing, and enjoy your musings and your prose, but I marvel at your energy to produce so many blog entries! If folks are not really reading them, give yourself the gift of not working so hard.

Glad you had a good Thanksgiving - wishing you a wonderful holiday season!

Hi, Karen and Sherri! I'm glad you enjoy the words and pictures! I like writing the entries, and like contemplating them, shaping them as I paint or drive - but figured that if basically no one was reading them, I'd be foolish to keep writing. I've had an outpouring of support for the writing, so I'll continue - and the ones who don't want to read - or don't have the time - can just skip! Fine with me!

I always enjoy reading all your content, and have it set up to read through email so I don't often go to your blog to leave a comment. I particularly like reading about your musings about the challenges you face with the "business" part of your art. And of course I love to see the antics of your four legged family :)
